Southern Center for Human Rights Reentry Support Group
These meetings are a supportive space for anyone with an incarcerated or recently released loved one seeking to connect with other families to learn how best to support loved ones returning home. These meetings are held monthly on the 1st Monday of each month at 7pm EST via Zoom. Registration is required. (events that fall on a holiday will convene the following Monday).

Meetings 2021 Meeting Topics:

• March 1, 2021. 7pm EST. Topic of discussion: “Picking Up The Pieces: Rebuilding, Renewing & Restoring”
• April 5, 2021. 7pm. Topic of discussion: “How to support my loved one with navigating community resources”
• May 3, 2021. 7pm. Topic of discussion: To honor Mental Health Awareness Month, we will be discussing “How to support a loved one with a mental illness”
• June 7, 2021. 7pm. Topic of discussion: To honor PTSD Awareness Month, we will be discussing “How to support a loved one experiencing post incarceration trauma?”
• July 5. Topic of discussion: “Practicing Self-Care: Taking time for ourselves”
• August 2. Topic of discussion. Setting and redefining boundaries
• September 13, 2021. 7pm. Topic of discussion: To honor National Recovery Month, we will be discussing “How to Support a loved one in recovery”
• October 4, 2021. 7pm. Topic of discussion: To honor Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we will be discussing “How to avoid unhealthy conflict”
• November 1, 2021. 7pm. Topic of discussion: “Forgiveness & Giving Thanks”
• December 6, 2021. 7pm. Topic of discussion: “Out with the old, in with the new: Setting goals and moving forward”
