YO Webinar: Demystifying Adult Strabismus
In this webinar, we are delighted to have ophthalmologist Dr Matthew Spargo presenting on adult strabismus. He will be discussing how to approach adult strabismus, what necessitates urgent referral, and other management principles of strabismus.

Learning Objectives:
1. To help Optometrists understand the principles of binocular development
2. Educate Optometrists on how to approach an adult with strabismus
3. To discuss the situations that require a rapid referral
4. To elucidate the basic management principles of adult strabismus

Dr Spargo is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon with subspecialty training in paediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus.

He completed his undergraduate medical degree with Honours from The University of Sydney. His specialty training in ophthalmology took place at The Prince of Wales Hospital and Sydney Children’s Hospital, being the Professorial Senior Registrar in his final year. He then travelled to the United Kingdom to complete his subspecialty fellowship training at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Cheltenham General Hospital and Oxford University Hospitals.
