Topic: Addressing the Inflation/Recession Unknown for 2023 in Compensation Planning

As we enter 2023, compensation budgeting season there are confusing indicators that need more clarification. This program will review the latest current projections regarding compensation budgeting for 2023. The program will review 2023 projections from many well-established associations and consulting firms as well as explore economic indicators in terms of projections of inflation continuing as well as a growing chance of a recession. The impact of recent announcements of Social Security cost of living adjustments and layoffs of major companies will also be explored.

Presenter: Michael F. Maciekowich is a National Director for Astron Solutions. His areas of expertise include the development, design, and implementation of executive, physician, & employee base pay systems, short- and long-term incentive programs, sales incentive programs, and performance management systems in all industries. Michael has 40 years of consulting and industry compensation experience. Prior to Astron, Michael worked for numerous consulting firms such as The Hay Group, Towers Watson, Adams, Nash & Haskell, and the Omni Group. He began his career in 1978 at Zenith Electronics, continuing his career at Honeywell and the American Hospital Association before moving into consulting.
