Essential Work: Mobilizing to Win Medicare for All

Join members of Health Care for All North Carolina (HCFANC) on Saturday, April 24 at 1:00 PM for a virtual Zoom discussion with Melinda St. Louis, the director of Public Citizen's Medicare-for-All campaign, who will tell us about the changes in the 2021 Medicare for All Act, who sponsors it, and how we can mobilize pressure against its opponents and secure its passage.

We will also hear from Dr. Uma Tadepalli, a Durham-based geriatrician and co-founder of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) Health Workers Collective. Dr. Tadepalli will discuss her longtime support for Medicare for All, and how we can and must leverage our policy expertise and grassroots organizing in order to achieve a universal, single-payer system.
