Thinkin Bout a Master Plan, *Vol 4: “Takin it to the Streets” Black Public Space: The Future of Festivals & Vendors in LPV
"Thinkin Bout a Master Plan,” is a Leimert Park Village, Inc. neighborhood engagement initiative that advocates for local participation in drafting a new Leimert Park Village Community Plan.

The opening of the Historic Vision Theater and the Leimert Park Metro Station next year will anchor what should become a vibrant public plaza: How can special event creators and festival producers take advantage of these Creative Placekeeping opportunities?

Leimert Park Village: A 2028 Vendor Vision (7:30-8:30) James Burks
Please join us in a dialogue with existing LPV street vendors that reimagine their role as small businesses and how they can be “STAKEHOLDERS” in the effort to design and build the Leimert Park Village brand as a destination for local, national and international customers that benefit Leimert Park Village brick and mortar merchants.
Should Vendors organize as a unit working with the BID, the LPV Merchants Association, LPV Festivals?
Can we reimagine vendors as a permanent part of LPV as small cultural retail and service businesses?
