Busy individuals often say they don’t mediate because they don’t have time. They wear busyness like a badge of honour. What if I told you that slowing down and meditating buys you more time?

There’s an old Zen saying:

“You should sit in meditation for 20 minutes a day, unless you’re too busy; then you should sit for an hour.”

The meaning is simple: the busier you are, the more you need to meditate. We can’t afford to, you say. I believe you can’t afford not to.

We’re living in a time of immense uncertainty, challenge and change. We can’t control our circumstances, but we can choose how we respond to them.

Give yourself the gift of space and stillness to find focus, experience peace and uncover your inner resilience and strength. You have the power to live a life of deep calm in the face of stress triggers.

You may feel overwhelmed in the day to day, but you can also choose differently—to cultivate presence, generosity, compassion and playfulness.
