Whether you are new to art or have always been artistic, having an art journal is a fun way to be creative! Each lesson will include a mini lesson from myself or a special guest teacher from the local arts community!

Sketch a simple landscape in pencil and hopefully be inspired to catch the daily sketching bug! It’s the best kind of bug to catch!
Suggested Materials: HB pencil, an exacto knife/razor blade, kleenex, an eraser, a ruler/straight edge/painter’s tape/washi tape and printer paper or sketchbook or journal. I will provide a reference photo of a simple landscape OR you may use your own photo
Optional materials: coloured pencil, pastel, even pen (however, the instruction will be with graphite), other blending tools (Kleenex, cotton balls, cotton buds, small soft paintbrush, blending stumps or tortillions), pre-ground graphite powder, kneaded eraser , tombow zero mono (2.3 mm) eraser OR electric/battery eraser that takes 2.3 mm eraser refills, 4B & 4H graphite pencil.
