The Pan London Governance group was formed in April 2019 to develop proposals for a potential way forward for the organisation of the Quakers of London. The paper describing this and a Summary are now open for consultation. Copies have been sent to all London Area Meetings and can be downloaded from the London Quakers website londonguakers.org.
On April 10th London Quakers will hold an event at which the proposals can be discussed in a wider forum, led by Helen Drewery, Clerk of the PLG Steering Group and Bernadette O'Shea, Clerk of LQPT. 1 A spiritual community
To discuss spiritual authority in a new charity
learning to be a spiritual community across London. Worshipful nominations.
How might accountability and authority work in practice? How would AM communities work with a London wide charity? Who would be the members of a new charity? Who would attend an AGM?
Whose money? Custom and practice. Pooled funds and how they could work. Simplifications?
How to ensure good communications. Easy exchanges between LMs, AMs and a new charity. How will we use new Tech to keep in touch? Becoming one community.
