Class is 75 minutes.
For the month of September, all classes will focus on supporting our parasympathetic nervous system.
We will learn practices that can provide ways to manage stress and restore your nervous system to a more regulated state.
We will explore somatic movement (yoga asana, QiGong and dance), breathing strategies, guided meditation, mantras and mudras that facilitate rest and conservation of our life-force energy.
This class includes simple yoga postures in dance form (alternating fluid movement and stillness), mindfulness prompts, various meditation practices, the application of mantra, mudras, and the weaving in of the rich and deep yoga philosophy that guides us into deeper levels of self-knowing and unity of mind and body.
Wear comfortable clothes to move in. Have a yoga mat and/or a blanket or pillow to sit on for the seated portion of class.
