EHCAN - ACEs/BCEs & Protective Factors

East Hawaiʻi Coalition Against Child Abuse and Neglect (EHCAN) are offering a series of Trauma Informed Care and Wellbeing workshops. The next workshop is Adverse & Benevolent Childhood Experiences (ACEs/BCEs) & the Protective Factors. This workshop will take place on Thursday, June 23 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.

Workshop description:
This workshop provides an understanding of the landmark ACEs study conducted by the CDC & Kaiser Permanente. This workshop applies the ACE research and the use of various protective factors that can help programs/professionals to prevent the triggering or re-traumatizing of individuals who may have suffered childhood trauma. Benevolent and positive childhood experiences will be explored to uplift connection and healing within your work.

A follow-up talk story session will be available to workshop attendees only on Thursday, June 30 from 10:00 - 11:00 am. This is an optional space to join in collective conversation to explore deeper learning, practical application and any questions or wonderings.

Registration is limited and attendance will be capped. If you register and are unable to join, we kindly ask that you delete your registration so another attendee may join. Note that these workshops will not be recorded.

Certificates of attendance for the workshop are available by request only. Please indicate that you would like a certificate in the registration form. Note that attendee Zoom name and registration name must match in order to verify attendance and attendee must stay for the duration of the workshop. Attendees are responsible for verifying any continuing education credits through their certifying organization.
