YIN YOGA is a deep practice with timed 2 - 5 minute holds.
All postures are held passively. (no downward dogs!)
When the tissues are relaxed we begin conversing with the deepest layers of the body (fascia, connective tissue, scar tissue, inflammation, joints & bones).
Over time, the body then softens into those once very sensitive edges.
Postures are held with intention so the body & mind follow the rhythm of the breath in order to facilitate the most release.
The yin practice can be deeply meditative complimented by led breath-work & guided Self-awareness.
