Permaculture in Building Food Forest and Community Gardening -by Jesse Tack
This talk is an introduction to Permaculture principles and how they are applied to growing a Food Forest and community gardens. Jesse is the current President of the Cooperative at Dawn Farm. This Cooperative has planted an 8 acre food forest in the Oak-Savanna/’Restoration Agriculture' model, using the ‘STUN’ approach to grow a food based perennial ecosystem. A teacher, learner, and practitioner of the permaculture lineage, Jesse offers consulting services for social groups managing complex systems, by guiding groups through Holistic Goal Setting and group processes for obtaining sustainable decision making. This talk is jointly sponsored by the Education Committee of Project Grow Community Gardens and Sustainable ENergy Distribution (SEND) cooperative.
