Social Work Open Discussion | COVID-19 | Grief & Bereavement

As our field continues to respond to COVID-19, we want to be of service to one another, to other social workers, and to the larger hospice and palliative care community.

To that end, Social Work Palliative Care and Hospice Network (SWHPN) social workers are reviving our weekly virtual chat rooms on Tuesdays at 4:00 pm Eastern for any social worker as well as any hospice and palliative professional on a weekly basis.

These discussions will be focused on being safe places for clinicians and colleagues to share feelings and fears in an effort to find renewal, support, and social connection. We'll discuss grief and bereavement needs of our clients; how we can support them and their families; and how we as a field can support the larger community, as we help others cope with grief and loss on a collective level.
