Alanah Nichole is a artist, activist, and community organizer who focuses on grassroot organizing and cooperative economics to empower black creatives. In this course, she will discuss how to creatives can shape their own financial futures, launch successful crowdfunding campaigns in your community or for your specific project and how to leverage resources at your disposal to maintain and thrive during COVID-19.
Alanah is Bronx NY born & Baltimore Based Performance Artist, Non-Profit + Small Business Consultant, Organizer & Mother of two to Blair (7) & Harper (5). She Is a big belly & hearted, loud black woman of West Indian descent who is best known for the Impact of her voice in her arts community in Baltimore. In the past two years alone Alanah has Marketed & Produced a countless number of events, projects & campaigns for nonprofits & small businesses that are arts, education+youth focused. She identifies mostly as Human but is affectionately referred to as an “Angel '' for her humanitarian like efforts in helping others. She can be heard on WYPR’s “Spotlight on Station North'' monthly promoting what’s happening on North Avenue in Baltimore or on her instagram where her wit & sharp anecdotal one liners geared toward helping & healing Black Women are posted, shared & commented on daily. “Her resume is her resume but her heart is her heart” she’d say.
