Land Use and Public Health Panel
The decisions that we make about land use have profound impacts on public health. From providing everyone access to safe and affordable housing and designing cities that lower our greenhouse gas emissions, to ensuring that communities of color do not bear the brunt of environmental health hazards and that everyone has access to green space and healthy food, the implications of land use policy on individuals’ physical and mental health cannot be understated.

Join WPSR and Futurewise’s WA Can’t Wait Campaign to learn more about the intersection between public health and land use. At this virtual event, you will hear from a panel of health care professionals who will speak to some of these connections, have the opportunity to ask them questions, and learn about ways to advocate for better land-use policy with the WA Can’t Wait Campaign in the 2022 legislative session.
