What is the Future of Education in Virginia?
A Debate with Candidates for Virginia Governor

Coalition for TJ, CAPA-Fairfax County and Capital IIT are hosting a debate of candidates for VIrginia governor for their more than 15,000 members and supporters and the community.
The debate will be hosted on Sunday, March 28, 2021, 1 PM - 2:30 PM ET, and will address these issues: merit education, anti-Asian hate and bias and critical race theory, along with other issues.
About 19.9 percent of the population of Northern Virginia can trace their ancestry to India, China, Korea, Pakistan, and other countries within Asia. Many in the Asian community of Northern Virginia are overwhelmingly members of the Democratic Party, but growing increasingly concerned over issues of merit-based education. This will be an opportunity for you to speak directly with a large and increasingly politically active segment of Northern Virginia voters.

CAPA-NOVA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization of Chinese-American parents dedicated to excellence and achievement in Fairfax County Public Schools and to advocate for education, excellence, achievement, fairness, and safety of Chinese American children and youth.
Capital IIT, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit formed in 1999, is an association of alumni and professionals affiliated with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), and includes entrepreneurs, academics, business leaders and young professionals.
