Yin is the new black or so they say!
Yin Yoga is preferably my favourite type of yoga especially whilst in lock down! This time is calling us to slow down and gain some introspection. Join us for Yin, a gentler but arguably deeper practice as we stay in each pose for much longer holds, targeting the deep connective tissues throughout the body. Yin yoga is more about feeling, less about what is looks like. Embodying more of the feminine qualitiies of intuition, introspection, feeling and surrendering whilst we drop into whatever is there.
Yoga nidra (yogic sleep) is a guided meditation where we move our awareness throughout the body encouraging softness and release, whilst dropping into a deep state of relaxation of both the body and mind. Some say that 1 hour of yoga nidra is the equivalent of 4 hours sleep!
For this practice you'll need a stack of pillows and a blanket - think adult sleepover! If you have an eye masks that's nice too for the guided meditation at the end. Wear something comfy and cosy!
I highly recommend setting the scene for this practice; light some candles, dim the lights, burn some sage and smother yourself in some delicious smelling oil or creme.
