Culturally Responsive Pedagogy through Diversity Discussions in Diagnosis
Presented by Dr. Storlie & Laura Dunson, from Kent State University

Preparing students for ethical and equitable diagnostic processes requires empowering a multiculturally-infused approach to diagnosis classes. This presentation will explore a new teaching intervention, 3D (Diversity Discussions in Diagnosis), employed to help promote deeper consideration of cultural context through the diagnostic process and the history of diagnosis. Presenters will explore initial qualitative findings around the experiences and perspectives of students engaging with diversity and diagnosis.
