A presentation of the earliest postal markings in Mexico during colonial times, and indeed some of the earliest postal markings in the Americas. These are marks used by the CORREO MAYOR, a prívate postal service which lasted for almost three centuries before the Spanish Crown took over mail handling in 1766.
