Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation
Welcome to our Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation series. I’m delighted to share this experience with you.

Over 4 weeks in 4 sessions together, you will learn and practise the fundamentals of a classic mindfulness meditation technique and have space to deepen your understanding of how mindfulness on the cushion can support you off the cushion, in the rest of your life. By the end of our series, you should feel confident in beginning to cultivate a personal practice rooted in these techniques – or compliment an existing practice with an additional, alternative way.

Please plan to attend all 4 sessions in this series, as each builds on the next, and you must attend session 1. The practice that we’ll share is 2500 years old, and so learning it cannot be rushed or short-circuited - in many ways it is very simple, but it is also rigourous and deep, so we will collectively hold and travel it in this way.

Please prepare by joining each class from as quiet/private a space as possible, so you can be relatively undisturbed. Each 45min session will comprise a mix of teaching, practice and space for Q&A/reflections. Meditation can be practiced seated in a chair, on a cushion or block on the floor, or kneeling over a bolster, so bring what you need for that.
