Why Government Doesn’t Work Better for Us: Pennsylvania’s Challenges—Opportunities for Action
This session focuses on how the Pennsylvania legislature is letting us down in terms of productivity and relevance to our needs. Get an update on redistricting, as we enter the once-in-a-decade redistricting process and see how antiquated Rules of Procedure work to gum up the wheels of government. Learn about “judicial gerrymandering,” legislation to create judicial districts which we could be voting on as early as this May. Time for questions and discussion. The session will be led by St. Martin’s parishioner Charlie Day, who is also a member of Fair Districts PA, a non-partisan organization working to improve PA’s governance.
