Connect the Dots is a joint collaboration between multiple early education and mental health specialists across Kentucky. The collaboration was built to address a common need: The need for a short yet powerful skills-based training teaching the basics of social and emotional best practices. Connect the Dots highlights 4 easy-to-remember steps to address challenging behaviors. In this first of a four-part series, participants will learn how to utilize the classroom environment to support children’s social-emotional well-being.
• Participants will identify how a predictable schedule, organized routines and transitions, and age-appropriate physical environment improve a child’s behavior.
• Participants will learn how adult responses build connections in children’s survival, connection, and problem-solving portions of the brain.
The fee for these workshops has been funded by a generous grant from the Horizon Community Funds of Northern Kentucky from Coronavirus Relief Fund.
