Emissions from heating in Rhode Island comprise a little over one third of total greenhouse gas emissions.
In Sharing Session #6, attendees will hear an update on what’s happened in the thermal sector since the 2016 Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction Plan and will review recommendations from recent key studies with a focus on Rhode Island’s Heating Sector Transformation Report.
Attendees will then have an opportunity to discuss actions related to the thermal sector that Rhode Island must prioritize over the next few years in order to get on the path to meet the 2021 Act on Climate’s 2030 emissions reduction mandate. These discussions will directly inform the 2022 Update to the 2016 Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction Plan.
The EC4 will host Sharing Session #6 on three dates; all dates will cover the same material. Attendees are welcome to join on one or more dates.
• Tuesday, June 14th from noon-1:00pm

• Wednesday, June 15th from 6:00-7:00pm
