Come and join us for another afternoon of music with Orchestra Vitae, we have a special afternoon lined up with Fiona and five other musicians who will play for us.
We’ll start our afternoon with a hello and welcome from Fiona. They will then play for us for about 20 minutes, this will be followed by a discussion on how music is great for our mood and mental health. We’ll round the afternoon off with a sing-a-long and a short Q&A session.
Violinist Fiona Gibbs founded Orchestra Vitae in 2012 and performs a wide variety of repertoire, often including works by British and female composers. The Orchestra has recently launched the initiative 'Concert Chums' which aims to make concerts as welcoming and relaxing as possible for people from all walks of life.
Fiona began playing the violin at the age of 6 and now works as a freelance violinist, academic and instrumental teacher.
Mark Walkem began playing the cello at the age of 7 works as a freelance cellist, baroque cellist and instrumental teacher. “
