This hike will immerse us in upland habitat with vistas that include mudflats, dozens of channels, an island for birds, and one of the main freshwater sources for this vital estuary. We will focus on the birds that live and migrate here, plus the adaptations that allow them to survive, and how they are connected to many of the creatures that dwell on land, in the mud, and in the waters of the bay itself. This event will include regular audience participation to keep everyone engaged! Kids of all ages can “attend” and learn about this park and birds! There will be time available for questions and we can “stay late” to answer them if needed.
