It is common for autistic people to experience anxiety. They often have to make sense of a world that may be hard to understand, cope with sensory overload, environments that do not meet their needs, and navigate confusing and unpredictable social situations.
If you or someone you know is struggling with high levels of anxiety, then you may find this talk helpful. We will explore the definition of anxiety, how a young person would know if they are experiencing anxiety, why an autistic young person might experience this, and the support and help that's available.
The talk involves a 45-minute presentation over Zoom, with 15-minutes at the end to answer any questions via the chat.
To protect everyone's anonymity and create a safe space it is important that everyone joins on the day with anonymous usernames (i.e. 'ABC1'), and keeps their cameras turned off and microphones muted throughout the talk.
To register please fill out the form below - you will then be emailed the Zoom details to join.
