The Acquisition of the Charles Garrad Collection by the Canadian Museum of History
Guest speakers: Dr. Jean-Luc Pilon and Dr. Pierre M. Desrosiers


Jean-Luc and Pierre will provide an overview of the circumstances and the story behind the acquisition of the Charles Garrad collection by the Canadian Museum of History. This is an immensely rich collection representing the history of Petun-Wyandot and lifelong research of an archaeologist officially adopted as a member of the Wyandotte Nation in Oklahoma. The transfer to the CMH has received the support of Indigenous communities and will facilitate a new era of research on this material culture.
