Since time immemorial humankind has lived in and through the concept of duality. We have lived in a battleground, a kurukshetra, where we find a constant struggle between the material and the spiritual, the lower and the higher, between good and evil, body and spirit, this world and the other world. It has been a story of man divided against his own self. Both, a reformist or a revolutionary, worked in favor of one against the other and the state of human schizophrenia remained unaddressed.
Osho has manifested a third approach, he rebelled against the dualistic, schizophrenic attitude and rejected it by not taking the either/or route but accepting both polarities without repressing or denying either. Through his rebellion he brought harmony, a creative energetic flow between the dualistic and the paradoxical states of ‘A’ versus ‘B’ or ‘A’ and ‘not A’. Beyond all divisions he has created an integrated holistic and a transcendental vision.
Swami Satya Vedant (Dr. Vasant Joshi) was initiated into Sannyas by Osho in 1975. He holds a Ph.D. degree from the University of Michigan, U.S.A., and M.A., Ph.D. from M.S.
