I was the deacon of the month for their Baptism and I remember well the feeling of being in special relationship with Hannah and Aaron as a result.

I was Baptized as a pre-teen in the Catholic church but Pastor Bill renewed it when I stood with Betty as we became members.

I was baptized in my second-best clothes. I was nearly three years old and was baptized at home by my uncle, a Congregational minister. My mom got me ready and then said I should play outside while she got ready. I don't remember this, but I apparently played in the mud and got so dirty Mom had to change my clothes. She always told me that she thought it was appropriate because baptism wasn't just for Sundays and good clothes, but for every day of my life.

I was baptized as a young adult with younger sister and brother (Baptist Church- Waltham)

I also remember Joshua Tapper’s Baptism. When he was brought down the aisle to be introduced to the congregation, it was so heartwarming when he reached out to and wouldn’t let go of Rod Lindheim, who served in the nursery that year.

My grandson was due to be baptized in the Baptist church when I took him to Counting with me and walked thru the sanctuary. I showed him our baptism font. He looked at it and wanted to know how he would fit in it.

I will always remember Holden's baptism: when he was introduced to the congregation, he ran right down the aisle and out into the narthex!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first baptism I remember was my youngest brother. My father filmed it in 8mm and chose to have a movie night for the neighborhood children where he projected the film onto our garage door. Larger than life, we saw my mother's cousin who had no children, stiffly holding the squalling red-faced baby. when the water was poured on his head he vividly went from red to purple and highly enraged. A true shared community experience during the baby boom with about 20 neighborhood children.

I remember that well, too, Nick (not surprisingly)! I prefer to think of it as him running out into the world rather than running to escape ;) He's running around the soccer field now.

I was baptized with Michelle after she was born and Dick and I were joining the church. I was nervous the whole time, because I was afraid she was going to start screaming any moment... and she has good lungs!

I thought at the time that Holden thought he was being released from church to go to Sunday school

I love all of these baptism stories, and thank you so much for sharing them!! Some memorable times for sure!!! :) I remember many of them too...Holden bolting (!!) and Josh running to Rod....and it so true that there is a special bond that happens on those occasions, between those being baptized and those witnessing. I can't wait until we are in person again to experience this and so many other things in our church!!

That's why I've been watching a lot of Hallmark movies - we know everything will be OK by the end of the movie

Yes and I totally agree!!, Hallmark movies are a great escape from all that's going on. I've been watching many of them too
