I have my audio working now.

15:44
I will do a larger post in the members fb group but -Brentwood Park Neighbourhood House Kids in the kitchen:We run the session via zoom once a week, same time and day each week.I set up a FB event and a Humanitix link for people to book in. I then send out the zoom link and recipe the day before the session. I try to make the recipes something easy for the kids to be able to make themselves or with minimal help. They are also easy for the families to be able to be creative/suit their own families needs. I also try to make them recipes which families don't need to do extra shopping for.In the session we then just walk the kids through the recipe and some weeks have had a special guest to chat to the children. So far we have cooked:Chocolate BallsYogurt Dough PizzaCupcakesRainbow cookieshttps://www.canva.com/design/DAEmp-g72FU/HfcQLSJcaI5mMIhJjRiunA/view?utm_content=DAEmp-g72FU&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link&utm_source=sharebutton

Can the website William's referring to be posted in the chat please.

16:44
Which website? Can we have the link please?

20:25
last year the covid payment were automatic.. why do people need to apply this year?

21:49
Hi William, since 2 days ago, CTRLINK put up re Disaster Payment, "Do you have changes of your working hours?" Some staff are from 20 hrs to 8 hours. but there is no options for them to say the extent of reduction of hours. so they now looks like totally not eligible. Do they need to ring Centrtelink to fix this?

22:08
Agents also have access to a Payments and Services finder on the system which is extremely helpful .

22:32
In fact this may also be available to the general public as well?

22:57

24:41
Do you have any support around helping community members get internet in their house?

27:56
Is there a way you can simply apply the concession to the already identified persons eg on pensions etc rather than have them submit an application or worse still not be aware of the program and miss out

29:51
The federal government holds the concession eligibility Jo, and the Energy provider has the account information. The DELWP application is the link to enable payment.

30:04
If you are not yet providing assistance via the DELWP Portal to process the PSB you can sign up by emailing psb@nhvic.org.au and Victoria will be in contact to help you get set up.

30:28
Thank you Matt

Can I please seek clarity on whether all LGA's are eligible for the services speaking today? Often residents of Cardinia Shire are not eligible for financial related services as the service provider is not funded for our LGA.

37:39
Yes, all NILs (No Interest Loans) are available nationally.

Financial Counsellors provide assistance to people in financial hardship. The NDH is a free service.

52:12
It’s about helping people with their options and what they can and can’t do to get back on track financially.

52:41
No eligibility criteria.

Any idea on waiting periods for any of these services - to get through on the phone and then to make appointments?

55:04
Wait times for NDH is usually not long at all. Other services may depend on demand.

We need some more advocacy for Service Australia Agencies - we have one at the community house and they are few and far between. We have access to special lines of support and so on. This is a renumeration from the government for this. Is there any thoughts on NHouse working with this further?
