PIease ask: I am concerned the sign isn't far enough off the ground not to be partially blocked by snow accumulation. From the drawing it looks to be about 2 1/2 feet.

what about a greenhouse? JRRATS could also do programming out of it, plant sale fundraisers. could that be considered for hall grounds? would that qualify under gas tax or have to come from accrued funds?

it was a comment as an alternative way to use the accrued funds given the concern with using up the funds. The tone of the conversation has come across that the accrued funds may impact future funding from rdco and other sources as Mark stated and that they should be spent asap, and the sign is an opportunity to do so.

To clarify again - I am not 100% sure that the proposed sign at Goudie & Highway 33 will be limited to messaging that is focused on the community hall. The proposed use of JRRATS accrued tax funds which were intended to support "community hall programming". If we can program the two signs independently (probable) then the RDCO and JRRATS can potentially explore a sign message "procedure" that would focus the majority of messages to support the community hall and when needed (i.e. emergency situations, etc.) then alternate messages for the community.

I can understand that the signage is meant for community events etc, but if there is a fire ban or say community information pertaining to a local fire evacuation I would hope to see these messages on the boards. ( comment)

the challenge with programing and spending the funds as always been the challenge of obtaining volunteers to administer the programing which is further challenged by the societies limited ability to have "employees" so I strongly encourage anyone who is concerned about spending the funds to volunteer and attend the programming!!
