Henrik Neuspiel - TKS
25:27
Here is the list of topics: 3D printing, 3D and 4D printing, Advanced Transportation, Alternative Energy, Artificial Intelligence, Artificial General Intelligence, Automated Vehicles, Biological computing, Biometrics, Biomimetics, Bionics, Blockchain, Brain Computer Interfaces, Cancer, Cell Agriculture, Connectomics, Cryptocurrencies, Edge Computing, Fusion Energy, Future of Food, Gene Editing, Genomics, Haptics, IoT, Longevity, Material Science, Metabolics, Nanotechnology, Nuclear Fission, Optogenics, Personalised Medicine, Phage Therapy, Piezoelectricity, Programmable Materials, Quantum Computing, Regenerative Medicine, Robotics 2, Space Technologies, Solar Energy, Stem Cells, Synthetic Biology, T-Cells, Virtual and Augmented Reality, Viruses, Wireless Electricity,
TKS - Roberta
25:56
^ Lots more will be added over the summer too :)
Aliya Ojuade - TKS
26:05
@Adam Glad you mentioned that actually, because I was the exact same way. You’re never limited to learning only tech or biology. If you find a different topic you’re interested in that’s not even in the list Henrik mentioned, you’re able to work on that! There are (within reason) no limits for what you can learn :)
Henrik Neuspiel - TKS
27:07
But there are constantly changes where students make more explore modules that cold be completely unrelated from the ones above(but topics in the emerging tech field, so not something like French)
Adam Nabarro
28:55
thank you so much for your answers!! can you tell me how intense is the program?
Aliya Ojuade - TKS
30:22
@Adam It’s as intense as you make it, to be honest. You get out what you put in! If you dedicate hours a week to the sessions - which means working on things not ONLY within the session - you’ll likely get out a lot more than you would if you only attended sessions once a week. In conclusion, intensity depends on you and your schedule :)

Felix Tikkanen
30:53
Are the group sessions based on US time? Do they take into account European time zones?
TKS - Roberta
31:31
@Felix - we’re going to have session times to accommodate all different time zones. There will likely be 6+ virtual cohorts at different times this year :)
TKS - Roberta

Aliya Ojuade - TKS
34:30
When we work on challenges, we work in groups more often. If you’re working on a project, you could choose to do it by yourself or make a team with others!
TKS - Roberta
34:32
Adam - students usually work on their “Focus” projects solo, but there is a ton of group work as well
Adam Nabarro
40:24

nesara

What is the application process like?
Amy
43:41
when you do the project about AI and machine learning, it is required some advanced knowledge of computer programming and some theory in the university level, I am wondering as a 14 years old student, how can you do this project without advanced computer knowledge? Have you provided some solutions or deliverables that can be used after 10 months?
Purnata Talukder

How did you manage school and TKS?

If you work on a project (for example AI) and do not have a background in it, how do you find out what you need to learn next ? How can TKS help in that?

this is amazing program. what if kids are not interested in technology? what options do they have?
William Jenkins
01:05:19
Ms. Roberta, I am entering the IB program next year. Do you know of other kids that have done IB and TKS at the same time?
