Caley Dougan
43:51

Wendy Richardson
45:32
We were thinking of bringing our runners-up to the oaas in February - is that fine?
Wendy Richardson
46:44
It would have been our 2019 runner-up
Heather Owens
46:47
Are any fairs that have cancelled considering running an ambassador competition this year?
Stephanie Cattrysse
47:28
If you invite the current ambassadors to next year's CNE will a separate competition be held at a different day or time during that weekend and will expenses be covered for both ambassadors for fairs that have two?
Joanne Stewart
47:34
If the Ambassador from 2019 is unable to attend for a second year; we're thinking of giving then sending the runner up instead.
Sara Stephenson
48:25
will there be 2 CNE ambassadors awarded and share the role for the following year?
Amanda Peckham
48:27
i think the fairs i talked to in my district are keeping theit ambasasdors for another year bc half their year has been lost... and then no fair to show at..that they worked towards... so i think most are holding over their current ambassadors IF the ambassadors want to represent them another year...
Brenda Gilchrist
50:48
West Niagara Fair... we have asked our Ambassador to stay on... and she has agreed
Deanna Glazema
51:22

Debra Post
51:28
Our current ambassador was ambassador for two years already and we have had to cancel our fair this year, we are wondering if we choose a new ambassador for this year that would also be ambassador next year or just wait and run a competition next year?
Joanne Gregson
53:02
I would suggest asking last years runner-up if the current ambassador can't commit to continue on.
Hayley C
54:59
Our fair is planning to wait. We plan to continue to involve our current Ambassadors and then welcome new ones in 2021.
Joanne Gregson
55:58
GNE has a Jr. Ambassador program.
sharron Graydon
56:00
From Sharron If we have a Fair Our Ambassador will participate in all local events as our last year Ambassador will be away at University but I would take both of the for the Experience

rorivalender
59:57
Elmvale fair - We have a Jr. Ambassador for our fair, I was wondering if they could set up a Jr.Ambassador program at the convention
Wendy Richardson
01:00:04
If the opportunity presents itself, in the earlier months of next year, we may consider an ambassador competition for 2020 at that point.
Stephanie Cattrysse
01:00:22
Will OAAS cover both costs for 2019 and 2020 Ambassadors at the CNE in 2021?
Fran Farrell
01:01:04
for a jr program, more chaperones needed
Amanda Peckham
01:01:30
it would be hard for some of the smaller fairs to send a sr and a jr... its tough...
Joanne Gregson
01:01:50
Maybe the Jr. Ambassador could be done on a weekend as a virtual program to start with.
JOHN WHITE
01:03:46
Where do you see the future of the competition in the future because of the times
Stephanie Cattrysse
01:03:49

JOHN WHITE
01:04:18

Providence Bay has considered a virtual competition for this year. We often have young people who are waiting to be old enough and plan on a specific year to complete because then they move away for university. So, we don’t necessarily want them to miss out. Although missing the fair itself is definitely a strong deterent.
Joann Broan
01:14:05
i agree, virtual is great, but there’s a lot of issues aswell, quality could be poor and some other ambassadors may not have access to internet at all?
Kristina Kraemer
01:16:06
Mildmay-Carrick Ag Society - One of my main concerns is the financial support that we get from the community. We always have amazing support from local businesses for donations to cover expenses of the competition and to provide wonderful contestant gift packages. I am Just not comfortable asking for support from businesses during a time like this.
Dillon Bernier
01:16:07
Can we reiterate what was said about the CNE as some people were having some difficulties hearing at the beginning of the call? :)
Joanne Gregson
01:17:50
During these times, this is an excellent way to network with fellow fair people and even moving forward possibly do this after the boards spring and fall meetings as a way to up date everyone.
Joanne Stewart
01:17:52
People are having a difficult time during this pandemic but many also want to help their community were they can in many ways including our fairs.
