Skye Morse

The spring RFP for homeless support housing explicitly allowed only non-profit applicants, however it now appears that over $20m in ARPA funds were deployed into those projects, which it seems should have been available to all applicants. Can you share more about that decision to limit access to these federal funds especially since the ARPA funds are the only source available to all?
Elise Shanbacker (she/her)

Elise Shanbacker (she/her)
01:18:12
Yes that was the intent Sarah; thank you
Elise Shanbacker (she/her)
01:19:51
Just a caution about the ANR "windfall", the pot of money in the CWSRF is still LOANS, not grants, and would need a legislative change in order to make grants to nonprofit and coop parks, unless I've misunderstood my conversations with WID staff
Sarah.Phillips (she/her)
01:20:21
Thanks, Elise. There is also a request in Vermont's Global Commitment Waiver for Medicaid for permission to fund a new permanent supportive housing program. There is additional planning and budgeting required, but that would be to provide supportive housing for people with chronic/long-term support service needs.
Maura Collins, VHFA (she/her)
