Re: those who died from prion diseases like CJD, there are precautions required for handling the body in preparing for burial or autopsy, but there is no limitation on burials or cremation of these bodies.

The National Cemeteries generally require a vault, however, you can request that the cover be discarded (and it be placed upside down like butter dish) to allow the body to go back to the earth..we have been able to facilitate that here at National Cemetery in Bourne MA
