Comcast provides spotty tech support and dealing with their customer service is a torturous experience . Can the Village help deal with alternatives or getting Comcast to change for the better.

New Trier Sophomore’s are bringing home permission slips to be able to participate in sexually explicit discussions. How young is the district targeting students for these type of discussions

59:42
I would like to ask about composting.

01:02:56
anyone friends with any higher ups at AT&T? :)

01:09:10
Kelly, there are private composting companies you can arrange service with for your residential homes. We use WasteNot for composting and they've been great.

01:13:30
Regarding the Post Office site: Rather than an outright sale of land, if such is being considered, may we consider a 99-year lease, such as was done at Willow and Waukegan Road in Northbrook? Royal Ridge (gated community) is on such land. There’s a 50-year extension connected with the lease. One benefit - the value of such lease may be close an outright sale, so Winnetka can potentially realize approximately the same proceeds. And our great-great-great-grandchildren would then have the opportunity to use the land for whatever purpose may be optimal, at such date.

01:16:24
When will the Library Strategic Plan be finalized and made public on the Library website? I understand some of the language was being revised to make the plan more readable

01:17:39
According to ISBE, D36 enrollment is down over 20% since the 2007 referendum.

01:18:01
Scott and Ryan As the screen is now set up, I cannot see the "raise hand" button to make a comment. Am I missing it?

01:18:52
Marc, on the bottom if you click on "Reactions" you'll see "Raise Hand" there

01:19:24
Click on "Reactions" and it will be at the bottom of the small pop-up screen.

01:23:05
FYI re composting (sorry for delay replying - technical issues), the Village supports it, is looking to expand it, and currently offers service to residents, businesses, organizations and events through two container swap providers, Collective Resource Compost and WasteNot. Here is the URL to the Village web page re composting - https://www.villageofwinnetka.org/231/Composting. Thank you for raising the issue!

Why does the state dictate schools what can be taught and not the parents

01:24:14
For Schools: What specific early literacy intervention curriculums / technologies does D36 currently use and/or what are we planning on using to address the gaps here?

In response to Laura's last question,,one specific example is that we have committed to providing training to certify at least one teacher in each building in Wilson Reading, which is a comprehensive and highly structured evidence informed program that supports struggling readers.

01:32:57
Dawn: Thank you, super helpful example!
