We received a small part, but the majority of the CARES money has only applied to the VPK programs that also participate in SR.

The ELC’s notified us as money became available, but we were only eligible for funds during one phase of the many waves of money that were available. The centers that do not provide SR notoriously get the shaft monetarily. We do not get paid the same amount per child either.

Where can I find more information about the SR aspect? What is the barrier to adding that so this isn't a problem Stephanie?

School Readiness requires more than VPK programs. This is an example of why the early learning programs need better interconnectivity and similar accountability. Think back to the school readiness results from providers in the beginning of the presentation.

sorry- program is much harder to maintain.

Unfortunately due to the SR program being for economically challenged families it also becomes difficult to get regular attendance and you are not paid for children who do not attend.
