ACOE had test kits they were distributing, I believe.

The County Office of Education distributed test kits to school districts, charters and private schools

Surplus test kits were distributed to early childhood education network orgs

Understood. Are those available in sufficient number to get us through the surge? My understanding is that only enough for a week were distributed.

It seems that some districts strategy is one of testing, so they would need multiple weeks of test kits in order to support their needs.

Just to note, the ones for early childhood providers were just received today by resource and referral agencies. A communication will go out to the provider network soon.

State is providing resource & referral agencies will receive additional kits and surgical masks towards the end of the month.

Some school districts are part of the state's testing pilot. others have regular testing. school districts that are seeking testing are able to access state resources. county office of ed and the county can help make that connection

Not at this time. Given how widespread COVID-19 is, a similar order would not significantly impact the trajectory of the pandemic in Alameda County.

The fact that the state has changed the quarantine requirement for hospital nurses at the bedside when they are infected is unacceptable in my opinion when they are infected with COVID-19 as a means of providing staff.

We are not planning to restrict gatherings using legal orders at this time
