Take home as in salary or business profit and salary?
Tameaka Shelton
01:28:43
Will is my salary the only thing that I need to think about when it comes to profit?
Laura Bellows

I have wholesale and retail sales. My retail prices are double my wholesale prices. I am guessing I should do different cash flow projections based on growing these two different audiences in different ways?
Tameaka Shelton
01:38:03
I may need to take this offline but because I am on payroll with my company, I would think my salary is an expense rather than coming from profit. Is that wrong?
Rennard Brown
01:40:32
Agreed, Tameaka - Payroll, like any other line item that you have to account for and pay out, is an expense. Calculate your expected profit separately.

Mr. Brown, Could you create a contact spreadsheet via email of the panelist and their specialties in business. Thank you!
Rennard Brown
02:27:36
I will ask the panelists to share their information in the chat so that the class can review in addition to all of the chat commentary - and I'll see if I can supplement with a list.

If possible, I’d like some tips on interviewing potential employees. In most cases, our hires have not done well after giving us a great impression during the interview process. Issues have been with both “will” and “skill.”

The importance was mentioned of finding out what hires want out of a position, not just what management wants out of a worker. What are some strategies / techniques for discovering what hires want from the working relationship?
Rennard Brown
02:44:23
This is a big topic and you may want to schedule time - but briefly: I'd suggest including behavioral interview questions in your interview process, using a panel of interviewees - someone who will be a team member of the candidate, as well as the supervisor, if possible.
Rennard Brown
02:45:25
You'll also want to tailor some of your questions to uncover their "team" and individual "fit" - e.g., can they describe to you a time when they've had to work with others under pressure?
Rennard Brown
02:46:01
There are many others too long to list here - but we can discuss after the panel.

I use video interviews sometimes , I also ask unconventional questions, I would also say leverage my team- that's what we do at no cost!
