From Wendy: I have emailed several large corporations asking them to not donate to the Senators and Representatives who voted to not certify the 2020 election. I was surprised to see the National Credit Union Association gave donations to these people. I wrote to this Association and my local credit union. I did not find an email for Boeing. If anyone knows the email address, please let me know.

Thanks for the question Carol. You’ll be able to bring that up after Beth’s presentation.

There was an article in the Skagit Valley Herald on Feb. 20, 2022 about the 4/5 grade program at Jefferson Elementary School in Mount Vernon. I haven’t seen it yet, but evidently, students in the civics class created a video that showcased what they had learned in their civics class. It involved lots of learning about local government by interviewing city officials. I’m looking forward to seeing it later this evening!

Q: Is Civic Education something parents opt out of, like Sex and Consent education? This would be great. My grandson is in “Leadership” but it doesn’t sound anything like this. I will ask more questions.
