We just recently receive a request from a Charter School. They originally requested to receive an allocation of Title II funding based on their proportionate share during the application process. They are now requesting to participate in the District initiatives in lieu of receiving an allocation of funding. What are the steps for making this change (amendment, etc) and is there any guidance available as to providing charters access to district initiatives?
Dorina Varsamis
30:45
Ok because it add meat to the requests we make.

Thank you for the information you provided in the Back to School kickoff regarding the October bucket for monitoring. Can you share a bit more information about the types of documents we should submit, where we will submit, and what type of feedback we can expect?

I’ve had questions from several private schools in my district regarding the lack of funding available for pre-school inservice days since they are no longer provided a percentage of funds prior to approval. Do you foresee the new application due dates for applications and budgets to help with this? I always have many request for PD during pre-school training days.

with emails for charter school participation and consultation, are you looking for emails to each charter school or just any email we have sent to a charter school as evidence they were included?
Martin, Dr. Helen

Thank you! This is very helpful. In spite of having the option to create a plan or participate in the district-wide plan, how should we proceed if charter school educators do not utilize the services offered?
