Thank you for sharing all of this, especially fossil fuel company bailouts/subsidies compared to divesting from fossil fuels. When the time in the presentation is right, can you please address Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) #8 and #12 with economic growth and consumption as it relates to the En-Roads model? I’m thinking about Donella Meadows “Limits to Growth”, Tom Wessels’s “The Myth of Progress” and Daniel Quinn’s “Ishmael”. The economic growth indicator in the model makes a significant difference to GHGs and temperature. What do you think about social costs of a shrinking economy or negative growth as it relates to consumption in a sustainable ecosystem?
tilly pick
45:52
it's a much longer horizon than what we've heard....2050?

Thank you.

Great question, Matthew.

I don't see the poll.
Skuk Jones
49:59
Also, we look at results and outcomes out to 2100, but actions can (and must) start immediately - the model allows one to vary when actions start and the pace to show how important action before 2050 is to results to 2100

Not the only solution we’ve learned, but translating to the here and now, there’s an opportunity in the next 24 hours to move the Mass. Legislature closer to putting a price on carbon (with rebates.) Please check out the petition here: https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/mastrong  and if you’re up for more, write a letter to State leadership: https://www.strongerma.world/business  The Transportation Utilities and Energy Committee is meeting this week.
