Can you explain what you mean by promt
Stephanie Davidson
27:27
is there a list of prompts you have used in the past?
Anthony Hyatt
28:40
The prompt page idea is great. Right now there is a lot of energy around using technology to reach patients and potential participants but we also need low-tech approaches - especially for older adults. These prompts can be communicated to patients in memory care programs etc.
NOAH National Organization for Arts in Health
29:12
Great point Anthony! Low tech is good

Hi from Baton Rouge General! I am excited to share that our Infection Control Officer and Incident Command has just approved that we can receive handmade get well cards from the community to share with our inpatients! I am going to set up a card making station in our outpatient radiation waiting area and our outpatient infusion lab (both places that usually receive Arts in Medicine regularly.) This will be a wonderful way for those at home to be able to do something to cheer up our inpatients who are so isolated. Distribution will have to be done by floor staff, but I am told by our nurses that they will love to help make their patients smile!

Has anyone tried shared drawing activities using the zoom whiteboard feature? I am thinking about trying the prompt activity with a group of psychiatry residents for wellness in this way
Sara Brown
32:47
@stephanie - Yes! The whiteboard feature is really a great tool.
Anthony Hyatt
32:48
I didn’t know that zoom had a white board feature. How do you activate it?
CarlieTodoro-Rickus
33:09
I have a hard time making videos for patients when my practice is responding to the patients and patterning my responses and facilitation to them, so I am working on permission to Face Time or Zoom them, without burdening the clinical staff there.
Sara Brown
33:17
Select 'share screen' and the option is there.
Sara Brown
33:35
The participants can then engage with the 'whiteboard'

Gina- I agree. I am trying to concentrate on my neighborhood as I am at home, and my hospital as an employee who is trying to offer what I do with patients from home…

I am volunteering these Zoom classes and was careful not to blow up former students email box. it’s a fine line how not to solicit vulnerable people, who just need connection, and prompts!

And i am hoping to bring support to my cause that “Other Major Hospitals” are continuing their arts programs to support the need for ours to continue. We have three artists- a musician, visual artist (me), and writer. Total of 45 hours a week split between the three of us.

While we have well established storytelling program that has been recognized by our admin, I have JUST submitted a business plan to start up a comprehensive arts in health program for our hospital system (Ballad Health in NE TN and SW VA). So this one-pager will be very important to me to make sure that admin sees the continued value and won't put budget for it on the back burner after the economic hit we are taking. I'm happy to be a reviewer as I have a vested interest in the letter hitting the hot points my admin will need to hear!

I just want to recommend that everyone should be keeping a good record of their activities in the service of healthcare so that later we will have good "evidence" to demonstrate value. We won't have a lot of support today in designing studies, but at some future time we will have a robust collection of potential "case studies"

I am torn by this, I was thinking of chalking the walks outside our hospital, but here we need to not be out unless necessity
Sara Brown

I had that same conflict on Monday (for Doctor's Day), and did refrain. There are a lot of considerations that are key right now.

I did Chalk the Walk this week! There are boxes of chalk at two entrances (with gloves). Because we are encouraged to take breaks and step outside.
