My son is 11 months old. He eats 3 meals a day. I just wanted to check is there a guideline for how many grams/calories he should be eating a day? He usually has a main and then a pudding like a little yoghurt/jelly/fruit pot. Am I giving too much or should I follow my son's lead?

my 8 month old doesn’t seem to take to solids too well. he has always struggled with gaining weight and was born full term but low weight. I feed him purées once/ twice daily, offer finger food but he has no interest. 1. how much should I be feeding him? what should I be feeding him? I’m scared about choking, is it normal for him to struggle to swallow? I still rely on formula milk as main content of his daily intake.
Mina
27:47
does this advice apply to premature babies??
Chloe

My baby is 8 months old and we're up to 3 meals a day of 2 ice cubes worth per meal. She is having less milk now and my supply has dropped off massively. Will Molly be getting enough nutrients from the milk (as well as the food) or should I try to increase my supply again?

My boy is 6.5 months old and I’m going to introduce peanut butter tomorrow. I’m obviously nervous about giving him a potentially serious allergen given the current situation in hospitals etc. would it make sense to put a bit on his skin first to see if there’s a reaction or does that not predict if there will be a reaction?
Chloe
30:48
Do we have to give the food groups (protein, dairy etc) with each meal or is once per day enough?
Emma
30:54
Really pleased this session is being run - great subject! Do you believe a baby can be vegetarian and get all the nutrients they need? Are there any good books / resources?

I know babies are supposed to be good at telling when they are full. Does this stop at some point? my 16 month old has suddenly started eating a lot more, especially fruit, and I’m concerned she may now be having too much! she’s always been average weight so I haven’t been worried until now. I still breastfeed her twice a day, so should I therefore feed her less?
Kerry
31:27
why not whole nuts?

My little boy is 18 months old and always rejects any kind meat that I offer him. We love to eat and I started offering him meat early on (around 7 months) but still see this refusal. He only seems to accept meat in pouch foods like Ella's in which meat percentage is quite low. How do I get him to eat meat. Not sure what I'm doing wrong 🙁

You said to introduce allergens early. I'm concerned that if there is a bad reaction that the hospitals are overwhelmed right now with covid-19 which we wouldn't want to catch either. When does "early" end? At what month at the latest should allergens be introduced?

I'm breastfeeding my 7 month old, she has 3 meals a day but I'm struggling to know when to breastfeed. I've tried to follow a routine of eating every 2 hours. 9am breakfast, 1pm lunch, 5pm dinner and milk in between. she doesn't seem as interested in milk sometimes and obviously don't know how much she gets. I'm sure her legs have thinned out since starting weaning so am a bit worried she isn't getting enough. does that routine seem about right?
Gemma
