Lately it seems collaboration is the historical multitasking buzz word. Lots of individuals claiming they do but actions don’t match. Any thoughts group?
Kacie Brennell
01:07:12
Emily - collaboration is my favorite topic! Happy to talk in depth about what is working for us at Mission Edge
amyostrowski
01:07:36
Unconscious leadership could also be a leader who doesn’t listen to the actual matters/problems at hand and can stifle innovation because they are out of touch
Kacie Brennell
01:08:19
Very good points Amy
Kacie Brennell
01:08:25
Thanks Stanley!
Emily Flener
01:08:55
Can also be someone who isn’t looking to hear what one has to say but looking for an opening to insert what they want to say regardless of your input.
Emily Flener
01:09:13
Hope I articulated that well.
Nancy
01:09:14
From my experience, they're already closed minded to any ideas that may come up during the interaction and all creative/innovative ideas are shut down. Destroys trust as they do not feel that their ideas and transparency is valued. It trickles down to others and hurts the organization overall.
Kacie Brennell
01:09:17
Hey everyone! Don't be afraid to share your thoughts with all attendees. Some are just going to the panelists but they are great ideas that everyone could benefit from
amyostrowski
01:09:44

Love it! I've gotten busier with COVID (12-15 hr days without breaks) and so my daily meditation (usually on my commute) has fallen to the wayside...along with my resilience to deal with stress. Thank you! :)
Kacie Brennell
01:21:43
Thanks for sharing, Lisa. It's challenging to do it all, but we've just experienced the positive side effects of taking a short pause

My management team put our team first and advocated their needs to our directors. There was resistance to change but we pushed and it resulted in safer practices for all. What worked was being adaptive, vulnerable, and brave!
Casey Gale
01:24:18
Helping others, having more time to reach out and assist in anyway. So grateful to be able to give back, connect others within my network and help in small ways, whatever that is by asking.

Getting in front of decision makers in companies who have the power to diversify their workforce. I help I train companies on how to diversify their workforce by hiring people who have disabilities. I help them overcome fears and stereotypes and create systems and trainings for their company. But I need a decision maker to make it work.

Nancy
01:27:04
Being with other open-minded individuals who believe in empowering self and others who sees the benefit of this win-win relationship that we can accomplish our personal goals by working together. Being with others and coaching with others, its great to get more insight outside the box that others struggle to see past it.

I'm at the beginning of my startup, and am overwhelmed with not knowing how to strategize a concrete plan for next steps-- do I network more, form a nonprofit, what kind of nonprofit, do fundraising, expand my team?I'm going into urban farming and trauma therapy for immigrant communities (aka agro-therapy)

ALEXA: I have a toddler that has interrupted my zoom meetings often in the last 2 weeks, in the past this would be deemed "unprofessional" but I think we are all seeing a more personal side of each other from the inside of each others homes to our family members and THAT IS OK ,it's understandable and acceptable at this time as we all adjust to unprecedented circumstances
Josephine Smedley
