01:09:11
porn is as addictive as cocaine, I have heard
John Hissong Cleveland
01:09:22
I disagree strongly with Dr. Fahey. Our bishops have saved thousands of lives by restricting our gatherings. Take a look at Rockland County, NY, dominated by the Hasidim, whose rabbis mandated no change in religious practice. The last time I checked it has the highest CoViD prevalence in the US. S Korea’s CoViD epidemic was largely spread by a megachurch. There are many, many other examples. Congregation, for religious or other reasons, is dangerous.
Stephen Lajoie

Mark Lajoie
01:11:55
PURE logic....
benjamin

I think the addiction to port leads to the sinking into virtual reality. I think most porn users separate as a result

criminalize abortion and pornography and the pill
virginiadelalastra
01:16:04
I do think Pablo that you have lived a reality we have not seen yet. I think there is a conflict to be allowed to go to groceries stores to get food carefully keeping all measures, but people are not allowed to go to Church for their spiritual needs keeping the same careful measures… I understand it is not recommendable to have gatherings, but there might be some other measures that could be implemented
Grant Freeman
01:16:14
At Purdue University, the Catholic men welcome the challenge to chastity. One of the practices that has been successful at waking them up to the difficulty of this plague of pornography has been Exodus90. This is an excellent, fraternal discipline for men. You can find this on the web.

Be a saint. “The Saint is a medicine because he is an antidote. Indeed that is why the saint is often a martyr; he is mistaken for a poison because he is an antidote. He will generally be found restoring the word to sanity by exaggerating whatever the world neglects, which is by no means always the same element in every age. Yet each generation seeks its saint by instinct; and he is not what people want, but rather what the people need… Therefore it is the paradox of history that each generation is converted by the saint who contradicts it most.” -GKC

There are creative ways to serve the flock. Some priests have allowed drive up Eucharist Adoration from a window in their church. Chicago has organized a cadre of 24 young priests to give the Last Rites. They were given special medical training and personal protective equipment. The news here hasn’t covered it much, but there have already been a number of priests (one I know from Brooklyn was only 49) who have died. The larger problem, from a public health standpoint, is not the death of the priest but the potential hundreds and hundreds of his flock that he infects as he comes down with the disease.

The Space Trilogy is, according to Lewis, a novelization of the Abolition of Man, in which he gives examples of control of nature actually being control over others, contraception being one of those examples. One of the best books of the 20th century, read it if you haven't already.
