nope, all is quiet...
did any of the families consider doing it in Israel?
All should feel free to ask any questions in the chat
did anyone pre video your children in case they had stage fright
to show at reception...
How, if at all, did you prepare the congregation to participate and support the b’nai mitzvah student?
How did you prepare for the gross or fine motor issues for the ceremony?
Gateways has put together lot of b'nei mitzvah resources and stories that are available on our website. here: https://www.jgateways.org/Programs/specialpath
You can see Isabella’s rehearsal video here: https://youtu.be/vtq2B606hv0
Can you talk a bit about the program at Gateways that prepares the kids? What does it look like at Gateways for a child to go through the program?
yes. thanks. I am also worried about carrying the Torah. my son has cerebral palsy that impacts his left side - he is mobile but his left side is v weak.
Like an intermission!
You can find all of the resources here: https://jgateways.org/Programs/specialpath

thank you families and Rabbi Berry for your insights and generosity in sharing your experiences.
Thank you to the parents for their very moving stories. Such a hopeful program!
is there a west coast Gateways?
There are similar programs in other places around the country. I know that in Los Angeles there is a program called Nes Gadol. It’s actually led by my cousin!
could gateways offer training sessions to tutors in other areas?
That’s a wonderful question! I suggest you get in contact with David Farbman (email@example.com)
