Do we know how many people locally have Covid19?

In regards to the face mask ordinance? being passed as early as this Friday, and being an essential business that is open and operating (a hotel) I will ensure all of our Associates are in compliance. When it comes to our guests, we will email them in advance of their stay, but what should we do if they don't comply? I don't want to be fined (or worse) if the City comes in to check and they see a guest walking around without a mask...

Rob, the latest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases we got from the LA County
rick.cole
50:14
Answer to Rob: Yesterday there were 78 confirmed cases in Santa Monica. That is far fewer than actual cases because of the Countywide shortage of testing, although that is rapidly ramping up. By comparison, we are 10th per capita in number of confirmed cases. That probably reflects both our demographics and their access to healthcare compared to cities that are lagging in testing. So far, we have only two confirmed cases in our workforce, both bus drivers for Big Blue Bus.

Damien: We will be focused on compliance, not enforcement. But I would encourage you to be creative about finding ways for your guests to be given or make face coverings.

Hi Rick and Kevin, is the city as landlord expecting its restaurant tenants to eventually pay past rents accrued during closure?
Rob Bedell

Thank you Rick and Kevin
Damien Hirsch

Will do Rick, thank you...

West: Like any sensible landlord, we will try to be equitable. It makes no sense to force tenants out of business with onerous obligations.
Kevin McKeown

West, with many things, we have begun by focusing on immediate protections. Longer-term decisions have yet to be made.

Thanks Rick and Kevin

Chief...When will you take office as President of the IACP.....Given this COVID-!9 Pandemic?
cynthia.renaud
56:24
Hi Nat! I will still take the presidency October 21, 2020. But while I had three initiatives I had planned to focus on during my year, that will now be substantively changed. The great news is I'll be able to bring the westside of LA voice to the national level as we work to frame what recovery looks like and how public safety is integral in achieving that

Since most of our businesses are on hold or shut down currently, is there anything that we can help with, i.e. volunteer, or should we just stay home?
