For the ALF's- Are consent forms required for residents and staff for surveillance testing? If so, does the state supply consent forms? Also, if minors work at a facility and need to be tested, do they require consent from their parents?
Carole Boutin
07:14
Will the new CDC regarding testing affect the surveillance programs?
Carole Boutin
07:42
Sorry, I meant the new CDC guidelines.
Rosemary Simino
11:19
Wendy, Where can we find the storage requirements for hand sanitizer?
June Gallup
11:31
the CDC is no longer recommending a 14 day quarantine after interstate travel, is NH guidance going to change as well?
Cindy
13:22
Should we anticipate recommendations to test previous COVID poistive residents or staff as part of the asymptomatic surveillance testing in our LTC facilities?
Hilary Seifer
16:01
Is there any changes to allowing animals into buildings again?
Aaron McIntire
16:18
If your facility does not have a medical director and you are using the State MD- Dr Ballard, then yes there is a consent form that will need to be completed by all staff members before results can be released to the facility. Minors and other consent forms are facility driven. Please reach out to ALFTesting@DHHS>NH.GOV for more information.
Wendy.J.Smigelski
18:28
In an answer to Rosemary Simino's question regarding storage of hand sanitizer. If a facility is constructed to meet the Health Care Chapter of the Life Safety Code, NFPA 101, it can be found under

we'll try this again. NEW Health Care section 18.4.3 for Alcohol-Based Hand-Rub Dispensers. EXISTING 19.4.3. For Residential Board and Care, Existing and New it refers you to section 32.2.4/33.2.4 to 8.7.3.3 or just refer to the sections for Health Care. Any questions please let me know
sryan@spauldingyouthcenter.org
30:32
So sorry to be confused, but regarding travel: we don't need to quarantine those staff who travel upon their return unless we know they've been exposed to someone who tested positive, but have them wear surgical masks while working among all the other precautions?
Brendan Williams bwilliams@nhhca.org
35:49
We do greatly appreciate the commitment of DHHS to testing
Taylor Selembo
36:00
Travel guidance in NH remains the same, so staff traveling outside of the 6 New England states should quarantine upon return. During staffing shortages, however, they can be allowed to work as essential personnel (while wearing a surgical facemask, self monitoring for symptoms, and following facility protocols),
sryan@spauldingyouthcenter.org

How can we reconcile what we are hearing on these calls about antigen testing and what CMS is saying that the machines that are being sent to nursing facilities can be used for Surveillance Testing? Our CCRC's IL Residents are wondering why they are under rules for the nursing homes, and they want to have more freedoms, we are still following best practice guidelines for all and have remained COVID free. We have slowly and carefully opened some of the amenities with some success. Is there any wisdom to offer on this one?

Does DHHS have an updated list of available contracted sites for non-symptomatic people to get tested at no cost? What is update on hospitals that agreed to provide testing? Ex: interested new hires, staff not able to attend surveillance testing, community members etc.

Are we experiencing a delay once again in receiving lab test results? What should be the new normal in expecting these results. We tested last Friday, received 19 back on Sunday and nothing Monday or Tuesday. Received more late morning today. Still missing 17 staff and 6 residents results and this is day 5.

@Anne Purington - Reopening guidance - https://www.dhhs.nh.gov/dphs/cdcs/covid19/documents/ltcf-visitation.pdf - starting on p. 6 indoor visitation guidance - "Every resident can designate one essential support visitor chosen by the resident, or the resident’s power of attorney, if activated, to visit indoors to provide emotional and other support (Phase II)."

On Thursday I will get my 3rd test through the state's Asymptomatic Spread Assessment Program. Encourage others to participate if they're outside of the LTC testing, going through the portal Matt Gatzke shared. It's easy.
Taylor Selembo
01:15:28
In regards to monitoring visitation: "When LTCFs are in Phase 0 or Phase I, each visit must be monitored when conducting outdoor and compassionate care visitation. As LTCFs transition into Phase II or Phase III with increased visitation, it may not be possible to monitor all visits, so facilities should develop a process to inform and educate residents and visitors about the necessary precautions and periodically monitor the visit for compliance."
