Why is the County and TOML enforcing the State's "guidelines"? Nearly all other counties in the State are interpreting the State's guidelines as just that, guidelines.

This is the Chamber of Commerce. Shouldn't we be fighting for our economic development? Nearly all other TOML and County meetings and organizations are trying to stay closed for public health reasons. That is a valid voice as well, but our voice should be for the local economy, which revolves around nightly rentals. Can we come together with a common voice as have San Diego, Newport, etc. to try to get the State to adjust their guidelines for us since we are in such a unique town where we are dying economically and seeing our life's work destroyed?

i few can stand in lines at Vons, at hardware stores, and the post office. Surrounded by people who in theory are all practicing respect. when, and why not, are we going to be able to have limited access to indoor, or OUTDOOR, retail sales? I know there has been discussion of tent sales for the Holiday. Or extended outdoor sales. Absurd that we are unable to safely operate within parameters Please help me understand the differences in businesses and why we allow some but prohibit others

Aaron
01:05:00
do we have, both TOML and Mono, resources set in place for the HUGE amount of dispersed camping trash and HAZMAT (poop) that is accumulating? the FS/BLM is literally packed full of camping. We do not seem to have a disposal or refuse policy or system in place? Maybe we can have MLT step up with advice for the large number of tourists that have no guidance . Lets not ignore what is really happening outside our bubble. They are here, were just trying to pretend they are not.

can our board of supervisors help push to open North Mono County.. we have over 3,000 sq miles in our county.. 50% of counties population is located in mammoth lakes totaling 4 sq miles.. Fishing, camping are inherently social distanced..What can we do to help open Bridgeport, Antelope Valley etc??
Mark

If the State's guidelines have the "force of law", why have the redundant Town of Mammoth Lakes bans?
Jay Cole
01:10:10
We will always have some new cases - Boo, you will always have to “deal” with it to some extent. No one wants to “deal” with it - but businesses and employees are leaving town. “Dealing

can MLT post a “what is open” for restaurants, retail, bike service, etc. for 2nd owners as a one place to look? or in an email “what’s happening”? Expecting a lot of owners for holiday. perhaps we can help support businesses that are open.

Mammoth Mountain RV Park is ready for campers and our dump station is open as well.
Stuart Brown
01:13:09
The RV dump station at the Mammoth Community Water District (MCWD) is open to all users 24/7. Potable water is also available. It is conveniently located on the way out of Mammoth Lakes just off Highway 203 at Meridian Blvd. Local agencies have acknowledged a significant increase of human waste on our public lands. Campgrounds and short-term rentals are currently prohibited from operating due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and as a result, dispersed camping and improper disposal of human waste has increased.
Tracie
01:13:28
Dr. Boo if you can't help open our town. Please provide the direct information we need to lobby whoever has that power to save our community. If thats not our elected officials let all of know where we can go to start getting this moving as multiple other counties have in California. If you or anyone can please provide the direct information you have so some of us in town can begin the work we've elected you to do.
Mark
01:14:21
Why open RV dumps when those are not "essential travelers"? Why encourage their usage while banning the nightly rentals?

Let's be honest, the second that we allow nightly rentals we will blow through the 2.5 cases per 10k metric (and others). We will never be able to stay within the State's metrics until a vaccine or herd immunity, both of which are a minimum of 18 months away or possibly never. Is the town willing to miss the 20/21 ski season and most likely the 21/22 season? How many more months or years before the town is willing to be more aggressive and at a minimum lift their own bans? 3 months? 6 months? 1-2 years?
Sarah Diaz
01:18:33
why open fishing? they have no place to stay unless they are camping?

01:19:22
If camping is in Stage 3, how is it that campgrounds in San Diego County, Orange County, and San Bernardino County (Big Bear) are open now?

I know that you are supposed to release guidelines for the latter stage 2 reopening process. My question is who will be enforcing these regulations? And who can I contact with questions about these regulations? In my case who would I talk to regarding sit down restaurant regulations?

Thank you to everyone who is dedicating their lives to make sure we move forward as quickly and safely as possible. This is a really testing time for our area, Mammoth is and always has been strong, we've bounced back from many things, we will come through this as well. Let's continue to stick together and be Mammoth Strong!

We have fallen well below the required 21 tests per day metric to reopen. We currently no longer meet the guidelines because of this failure. Can you please comment if this is deliberate or an oversight?
